Vice President of Membership, Frances McCannel

Frances McCannel is a third year Politics and Linguistics double major from San Diego. She joined College Dems at the beginning of her second year to get more involved and educated about local, state, and national politics. Now, she also holds the position of Secretary on the California College Democrats’ executive board, where she interacts with chapter leaders across the state. She is also a part of UCSC’s local sorority, Alpha Psi, and intramural dodgeball.

Frances’ main political passions are inclusivity in ideological beliefs, connections and collaborations with varying organizations, officials, and candidates, as well as international issues. She wears her heart on her sleeve, dares to dream, and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.

As Vice President of Membership, her main priority is to expand membership and foster an educational, passionate, and friendly community within the club.
