UC SANTA CRUZ COLLEGE DEMOCRATS

Alexander Torres is a fourth-year student at UC Santa Cruz double-majoring in Politics and Latin American Latinx Studies. He is a first-generation student from Orange County, CA. He first joined UCSC College Democrats during the 2024 Presidential Election, working alongside members to encourage civic participation.

Throughout his time in college, he worked on various campaigns, educating students and residents of Santa Cruz on ballot measures and candidates. His work has centered around justice and educational equity, with the belief that education is the most powerful weapon one can equip themselves with.

As President, he hopes to collaborate with campus organizations, local unions, and members of the broader community to continue the legacy of UCSC College Democrats in education and civic engagement.
